The rain came down, and he didn’t mind at all. Tucked beneath a wide red mushroom cap with a good book open in his paws, this little hedgehog has found exactly the kind of afternoon the rest of us spend our whole lives looking for. A small snail keeps him quiet company while the forest glows gold around them. This woodland animal canvas captures that rare, unhurried feeling of being perfectly content exactly where you are — rendered in rich, textured impasto strokes that make every raindrop feel real.
